We at loudinuew can confidently report from an authentic source that the cry of students at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) will soon be a thing of the past and will be equip with access to internet form next academic year regarding to the promise made by the Uew SRC "ONE-STUDENT-ONE RENEWABLE DATA SIM CARD".

Authorities speaking to Loudinuew said difficulties student strive through connection to the internet will be a thing of the past to help students at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) access information to help boost students academic work to enhance learning.

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) led by Emanuel Oduro Fosu porpulay known as Sir Castro has signed an agreement with telecommunications giant AirtelTigo  to provide students a free renewable data sim cards which kickstarts in 2020 next academic year.

The SRC president, His Excellency Emanuel Oduro Fosu disclosed to Loudinuew that in fulfilment of his campaign promises, the SRC will distribute all renewable data sim cards which comes with many packages for free. 

The packages includes ; 2.2GB monthly renewable data, Unlimited calls on the same network for free, monthly 10mins off-net calls and free momo transactions package below GhCedis50. 

He added that as part of the deal (partnership entered) with AirtelTigo the company will spearhead as the headline sponsor of the SRC Week celebration for the 2018/2019 academic year in accordance has accepted to provide a branded T-shirts for students.

Emmanuel Oduro Fosu said that AirtelTigo has boosted the network coverage in Winneba and its environs which has propel them and plans are far advance to establish a customer care centre on Uew campus. 

The SRC president hinted that his administration has worked harder to secured some slots for students at UEW to undertake their internship and national service with the company.

In conclusion Sir Castro made a strong point that the SRC and AirtelTigo has join hands to work on the  revamping of the swimming  pool abundant at south campus and many other incentives which is entitled to the University.
