Bereavement: Mrs. Mary Celestine Broni, Mother of Very, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful Broni Vice-Chancellor, UEW

 We wish to sadly announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Celestine Broni, the biological mother of the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni. The sad event occurred at the Trauma & Specialist Hospital, Winneba on Thursday, 2nd April, 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic with its associated mandatory  observation of  social distancing protocols,  Members of the Governing Council, the Management, the University community, the Church, well-wishers, sympathisers and the general public are respectfully advised to note that the Vice-Chancellor is UNABLE TO RECEIVE sympathisers  to commiserate with him.  All well-wishers and sympathisers may, however, reach the Vice-Chancellor on phone, WhatsApp and other social media platforms for expression of condolences.

In addition, a BOOK OF CONDOLENCE in memory of the beloved mother has been opened and displayed at the Front Porch of his Residence at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, SSNIT Road, UEW. Sympathisers may sign in while observing the social distancing protocols. 

Details of the final funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. As we mourn with the Vice-Chancellor, we ask the Good Lord to grant him strength and mercies in these difficult times.  May the Good Lord also keep the soul of our departed mother in His bosom.
