Infrastructure development on the University of Education Winneba campuses is 90% completed - Vic Chancellor Prof. Anthony Afful Broni

The Vice chancellor of the University of education,Winneba Prof.Anthony Afful Broni in his speech highlighted on some major infrastructure projects the university is embarking on its various campuses which is Adjumako,Ashanti Mampong, Kumasi and Winneba.

The Vice Chancellor in his speech at the 24th Congregation of the university at Winneba campus made it clear that the university is undertaking on series of infrastructural development to prepare for the admission of the first badge of student benefitting from the free shs programme, even though most of the funding of these projects are internal generated funds,  the university is trying it possible best to complete some of it project by December 2019 or early 2020.

Some of the projects include construction of lecture blocks,the VC made it clear that just this year contracts has been awarded for the construction of 10 lecture blocks (pavilions) each sitting 500 students on the winneba campus and 2 at the Kumasi campus, he also stated that 6 of the project will be completed within the next two months and stated that the first two has been handed  over just this week and the other four will be commission within the next six month.

He also made mention of the construction of ultra modern lecturers block which started two years ago, Prof. Anthony also talked about the school hospital,school farm, school commercial center which will provide employment for the local people in the winneba township.

He also promised to deliver by providing good tuition to the entire university community and  call on all stakeholders who wish to build hostel and other infrastructures to come on board.
